A study in movement and stillness in the Mojave Desert. Working with Gleb Savchenko, we built a dance film around the tension between the precision of flamenco and the rawness of the desert at golden hour. Intimate, physical, unguarded.

The brief was to capture the full energy of the dance without losing its spontaneity. We shot over an afternoon using a gimbal to stay close to the movement. The work finds its power in contrast: a formal discipline performed for no one, in a landscape that asks nothing back.
